Overview
PTS runs the entire public transport operation — fare collection, fleet management, and passenger information in one platform.
It powers the Tbilisi Metro, buses, and minibuses, the Rustavi network, and transit across 30+ Georgian cities. Validators on vehicles, dispatch in the control room, arrival times on the stop display and in the passenger's pocket — same system, all live.
One backend handles every way to pay: reloadable transit cards, contactless bank cards from any issuer, and QR tickets generated in the mobile app. Same reader, same tap.
Core Capabilities
Unified Fare Collection
Closed-loop transit cards, open-loop contactless bank cards, and QR mobile tickets — accepted on the same validator, processed by the same backend, with tariffs and transfer rules configured centrally.
Planning & Scheduling
Routes with multiple variations, per-stop timetables, and automatically generated monthly duty rosters for drivers and vehicles — feeding Google Transit and every passenger channel.
Live Dispatch & Monitoring
Two-way sync with onboard devices. Dispatchers track every vehicle live from depot departure to return, with real arrival times calculated continuously for passenger information.
In-House Hardware
We manufacture the devices: validators, onboard computers, inspector POS terminals, and passenger displays. 20,000+ units produced and deployed across our transport projects.
Platform Features
Every way to pay — reloadable transit cards with personalization and top-up channels, contactless bank cards from partner and non-partner banks, QR one-time tickets from the mobile app.
Fare rules engine — tariffs, transfer rules, and season passes configured per city — payments registered and processed centrally, online ticket sales included.
Fare inspection & enforcement — ticket checks on inspector POS terminals, backed by a fines management system with integrations to external registries.
Passenger information everywhere — stop displays, in-vehicle screens and next-stop announcements, a web journey portal, and native Android and iOS apps.
Driver & vehicle management — fleet records, assignments, and monthly work schedules generated automatically from the planning data.
Beyond the bus — railway cash ticketing on domestic routes, railway station displays, and transit-card payment on cable cars — the same platform, new modes.
